New Name: Just Call Us 'RE/MAX'

By Deborah Ball Kearns, RE/MAX Times Online Associate Editor

"RE/MAX International, Inc." has shortened its name to "RE/MAX, LLC." The company is known as simply RE/MAX.

RE/MAX, with offices in more than 75 countries worldwide, recently transitioned from being an incorporated company to a limited-liability company. In the process, RE/MAX executives decided to shorten the name.

"We're a brand leader and people around the world know us very well," says RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly. "Just like Nike or Starbucks, RE/MAX stands on its own."

The name change, Kelly adds, gives the RE/MAX organization an even stronger foothold and a competitive edge for worldwide growth and expansion. With a highly visible International Development department, "RE/MAX" in the shortened form eliminates confusion when Affiliates are referring to the RE/MAX parent company versus the RE/MAX International Development department.

The headquarters building in Denver, formerly known as "RE/MAX International Headquarters," is now "RE/MAX World Headquarters."
